Here’s an odd shot from The Godfather: Part III. Michael Corleone sits by the open casket of his murdered friend Don Tommasino. When we get to the wide shot (at 25″) there’s something strange. What? Well, look carefully. The right part of the image is actually a freeze frame. Look for instance at the top of the pillow between the two actors. Vittorio Duse, who played Tommasino, undoubtedly tried to lie as still as possible. And probably didn’t succeed.
